Keeping track of health threats such as food recalls, disease outbreaks, drinking
water advisories, etc is a nightmare for health care professionals. As our experts
have seen first hand, there is little, if any, standardization among the data distributed
by the various government organizations (CFIA, FDA, USDA, Health Canada, Public
Health Agency of Canada, CDC, WHO, etc.). There are no common databases, and much
of the vast amount of information health officials receive daily is not relevant
to their jurisdiction or location. The research we have performed clearly supports
the need for better real-time health & safety information. Public health staff report
that the key to tracking down, containing and managing food and other health threats
is access to timely health and safety intelligence. Similarly, physicians can best
help patients if they are aware of public health threats relevant to their community
and the specific circumstances of their patients.
Health & Safety Watch is the answer!
We look forward to working with healthcare professionals to develop and implement
HSW features to meet their real-time health & safety information needs!
