Geography settings and Member preferences (when logged-in) determine how Events appear in the home page panels.

• When logged-in, geography is based on your account city/town, province/territory, and country.
• When NOT logged-in, geography is based on your IP address if detectable.

Local Headlines: Event involves local Hazard Region AND is not Province/Territory wide.

Province/Territory Headlines: Event contained within the Province/Territory that is either Province/Territory-wide OR does not involve local Hazard Region.

Canadian Headlines: All other Events

Ranking Algorithm: Within each panel, Events are ranked by date, severity, and whether or not they meet Member preferences (when logged-in).
